Thinking about ordering from UniversalPetMeds.com? All the information about our shipping processes can be found on this page.
Our goal at Universal Pet Meds is to have your order processed, shipped and delivered to you within 21 days. Unfortunetly every so often an order may take longer to receive. The following is a list of possible situations which may cause delays.
Your order forms are not fully complete, legible, signed or the prescription itself is missing.
We have to contact your physician to clarify information relating to your prescription or medical profile.
Your credit card information is inaccurate or incomplete. Always ensure that you transcribe your credit card information accurately, and ensure that all the fields are completed when filling in our on-line forms. Make sure you have entered your credit card number for VISA or Mastercard, and the credit card expiry date. If you are sending your forms by mail or fax, please ensure you have signed your forms.
Your credit card company denies the purchase because it is from a foreign company. Sometimes as a security measure, credit card companies will deny purchases that are made in a foreign country if you haven’t traveled there recently. You can contact your credit card company to let them know that a purchase from Universal Drugstore will be going through on your credit card, so that they will know to approve this purchase.
Your credit card is declined for insufficient funds. It is important to make sure you have enough available credit for your entire medication payment to be processed.
If you choose to pay for your order using a certified check or US money order, we require several more days to allow these payment types to clear our financial institutions and banking system.
The Postal Service (Canada Post and the United States Postal Service) have unforeseen delays. Peak periods at holiday time and extreme weather can have a major impact and are outside our control. Please order your medications early enough to ensure you always have a supply on hand.
The US Customs and the US Food and Drug Administration choose to examine and detain your shipment. We occasionally see organized blitzes by these agencies in an attempt to discourage American Citizens from ordering medications from Canada. You should be aware actions like these are at the discretion of the Customs/FDA officers in which they can hold shipments for up to 30 days. Universal Drugstore will do whatever we can to assist but we cannot be held responsible for their reckless action and uncontrolled delay.
